The sweetest blessings in life are your grandchildren. I think most everyone can admit that when your child has their first baby, you don’t ever quite look at them the same. How can they be old enough to have children already? It just doesn’t seem right does it? At least that is what everyone tells me whenever they see me with my kiddos. 🙂 But the bond that is between a grandparent and a grandchild is unlike any other.

When your grandchildren live far away, it never seems to get easier saying goodbye to them before they leave. It feels as if you finally just got your grandbabies back, and then next thing you know it is time for them to leave again. The memories that are made go by so fast and you just want to hold on tight to every minute you had.

This sweet session was originally suppose to include all of Jenn’s grandbabies. Unfortunately, when one becomes sick, you do your best to prevent the others from catching it. However, I could not let Jenn say goodbye to her two grandchildren without getting some memories for her to always hold on to. I always say that my motto is to make lasting memories for a lifetime. And that is exactly what we did!

When Jenn first walked up with her grandchildren, Kaydence and Bryan, they were shy and timid about getting their photos taken. But by the end of it, Kaydence told me she absolutely loved getting photographed and wanted to keep on going! How fun is that?! To see her sweet smile on her face light up the second half of the session was so much fun. You would never look at her and think she was only ten years old!! She absolutely rocked it out there! We even managed to get some genuine smiles out of her brother Bryan too. Photographing boys can be difficult as some might tell you but I welcome the challenge. 🙂

And lets talk about how beautiful their Mimaw Jenn looked in these photos! Everyone always says that their children shouldn’t be old enough to have kiddos but I think Jenn does not look old enough to be a Mimaw! To see her smile light up as well while she was around her grandbabies was such a joy! It reminded me exactly why I absolutely love to do what I do. I am so glad we decided to still go out last minute and capture these beautiful photos of Jenn with her sweet grandbabies!
